Assistant Planning Analyst
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Assistant Planning Analyst is a key role within the finance team. This role will report into and support the Senior Financial Planning Analyst and will provide an excellent opportunity to aid decision-making during Beavertown’s growth and expansion.
The Assistant Planning Analyst will be responsible for updating and maintaining financial models and supporting the Senior Financial Planning Analyst to provide insight from the budgeting and re-forecasting cycles for Beavertown.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the delivery of budget and latest estimate (LE) updates to deadlines
- Co-ordinate budget and LE updates, consolidating submissions from finance business partners across the business for Commercial, Production, Marketing, Hospitality and Office Support
Cashflow
- Produce weekly and monthly cash flow reports including variance analysis
- Update and reconcile budget & LE updates in cashflow models for review by the Senior Financial Planning Analyst
- Support the delivery of improved working capital and cash management
Modelling
- Update and maintain budget and forecast models including Sales Volumes & Revenue
- Further develop analysis tools to measure impact of changes made through reforecasts
- Identify best practice for utilising SAP & Business Intelligence tools in budget and LE plans and look to improve processes and financial models
Business Partnering & Reporting
- Support the Senior Finance Planning Analyst to provide detailed reporting of cash flow and headcount performance in Management Accounts
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders across the wider business
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with financial modelling desirable
- ACCA/CIMA part qualified and looking to progress
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly logical approach, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Committed team player, used to working flexibly and keen to make improvements
- FMCG experience desirable
