Senior Financial Planning Analyst
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is a key role within the finance team. This role will report into and support the FP&A Manager and will provide an excellent opportunity to aid decision-making during Beavertown’s growth and expansion.
You'll be responsible for improving insight from the budgeting and re-forecasting processing for Beavertown including long term planning and cashflow.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Budgeting & forecasting
- Lead the budget planning and LE cycles to deliver robust financial plans with insightful outputs to deadline
- Work alongside the commercial channel managers for the annual budget, monthly latest estimate (LE) and strategic 3-year plan cycles for sales volumes and revenue
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to accurately plan total materials costs for goods sold
- With the support of the Assistant Planning Analyst, consolidate forecast updates for all departments and cost lines across the business (Commercial, Production, Marketing, Hospitality and Office Support)
Cashflow
- Oversee weekly and monthly cash reporting to provide detailed analysis and commentary for variances to budget and LE
- Develop cash flow models to accurately forecast all OpEx and CapEx spend
- Identify opportunities for improvement of working capital and cash management
Modelling
- Co-ordinate the update and maintenance of budget and forecast models with support from the Assistant Planning Analyst
- Further develop analysis tools to measure impact of changes made through reforecasts
Systems & processes
- Support the integration of BI tools into financial models
- Identify best practice for utilising SAP & BI tools in budget and LE plans
Business partnering & reporting
- Build relationships with key internal stakeholders across the wider business
- Provide detailed reporting and insight on reforecast updates to business partners to aid decision making
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with financial modelling desirable
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly logical approach, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Committed team player, used to working flexibly and keen to make improvements
- FMCG experience desirable
